SYMPTOMS
When you try to access the AOneSearch website by retrieving a message via its URL or browsing to the Search Archive website directly, you may be redirected to the Outlook web App (OWA) website, or after logging in you receive an error:

HTTP 400 Bad Request.

The web server running the Archive one search and retrieval web services does not respond as expected to the HTTP request sent by the client. The web service was unable to understand the request and process it.

ROOT CAUSE
It is likely that HTTP redirection has been set in IIS Manager at the Default website level and is inherited by all web applications assigned to this site, including AOneSearch.

RESOLUTION
Check if an HTTP redirection has been set, and if so, remove it:

  1. Open Internet Information Services (IIS) Manager.
  2. In the connections pane, expand the server name > Sites > Default Web Site and select AOneSearch.
  3. In the Features View, double-click HTTP Redirect.
  4. If a redirect to OWA is in-place, uncheck the box ‘Redirect requests to this destination‘ and apply the changes.

You should check the other ArchiveOne web services to ensure that these do not have an HTTP redirection applied to them as well.

APPLIES TO : ArchiveOne Enterprise/Express
